My
first bit of advice, if your confident in your painting skills,
do the job yourself. If you let somone else that is not a
professional painter you will likely not be happy. I speak
from experience. (I'll never let my sister in law paint any
walls in my house again.)
Now
I am not an expert painter but I do pretty good work. Here
are a few tips:
- Take
your time and do a good job preparing for paint. Fill any
holes with spackle and sand.
- Tape,
tape and tape some more.
- Cover
those floors with plastic or some sort of tarp.
- If
your doing a large room it might be worth buying a power
roller. I bought a Wagner power roller and it does an excellent
job. But cleaning the roller is a pain so use it only if
you plan on painting with one color on a large surface area.
I
plan to list some helpful sites in the near future. So please
check back for updates.
