I
am not a bid wallpaper fan. So I do not have any advice on
putting up wallpaper. I do like wallpaper border though! Here
is some advice:
Again
no real tip on installation except it's much
easier with the assistance of another person.
My major advice is shop online. My wife and
I went to Home Depot looking for some borders
for our sons room. We found a border we liked
and it cost $26 a roll. That seemed a bit steep
so I decided to surf the web. I found the same
border at American
Blinds, Wallpaper & More
for only $15.00 per roll and free shipping.
(I think Home Depot bought National Blinds and
Wallpaper so the prices may be higher now but
there are many other comparable sites out there).
What
you can do to make the process easier is go
to your local home improvement store and browse
their catalogs of wallpaper. This way you can
see the wallpaper up close. In our case, we
looked in all the wallpaper border books and
then wrote down the name of the book and page
number. Most of the web sites I used had the
same books available for browsing online. Very
easy and a potential monsy saver.

Update
5/8/2003!
Just
bought some wallpaper borders on Ebay. Best price I could
find for monster truck borders $9.99 a roll and only $8.50
to ship. The order arrived 3 days after the purchase. Be careful,
Ebay is not always a good deal, check the shipping rates first.
Also search the web for the item. I have seen items up for
auction that fetch a price over what you would pay at an actual
online store.
I
plan to list some helpful sites in the near future. So please
check back for updates.
